On Wednesday, May 8, the Scuola Sant'Anna is organizing a study conference at the Senate of the Republic on the punitive responsibility of corporations "beyond the State"

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at the Sala Zuccari of the Senate of the Republic (Palazzo Giustiniani, via della Dogana Vecchia 29, Rome) the study conference " La responsabilità punitiva delle società oltre lo Stato: pluralismo e dimensioni transnazionali " is scheduled.

The meeting organized by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna stands as a key opportunity to discuss, among other things, the most significant developments affecting the subject of liability of entities and companies in the perspective of the application of individual domestic disciplines beyond the scope of the territorial jurisdiction of individual states.

After opening addresses by Senator of the Republic, Ylenia Zambito, to whom the initiative for the meeting is due, an introductory speech by Gaetana Morgante, Director of the DIRPOLIS Institute (Law, Politics, Development) and professor of criminal law at the Sant'Anna School, is scheduled. Participating as speakers are Tullio Padovani, Academician of the Lincei and professor of criminal law at the Sant'Anna School; Paola Severino, President of the National School of Administration and professor emerita of criminal law at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome; Rosario Salvatore Aitala, judge and Vice President of the International Criminal Court (ICC); Michele Papa, member of the Superior Council of the Magistracy and professor of criminal law at the University of Florence; Salvatore Dovere, Supreme Court of Cassation Councilor; and Giuseppe Di Vetta, criminal law researcher at the School and author of “La responsabilità da reato degli enti nella dimensione transnazionale” (Giappichelli, 2023), which will be presented as part of the meeting.

Participation is free of charge. The meeting is being accredited by the National Forensic Council and the Rome Bar Association for the purpose of forensic training.
